Terms of use

The service

Pitacor is a free game played in the browser, with no sign-up. By playing, you agree to these terms and to the privacy policy. If you don't agree, just don't use the game.

The game is provided “as is”. We do our best to keep it running well, but there may be bugs, outages, maintenance or changes to rules and features at any time. Rooms and matches are not saved: when a room closes, it's gone.

Room etiquette

So everyone has fun, don't:

• Insult, harass, threaten or discriminate against other players, in chat, clues or nicknames.
• Use nicknames or messages with sexual, violent or criminal content, or someone's personal data.
• Spam, promote scams or post malicious links.
• Cheat: use programs, bots or exploits to get an advantage, or disrupt the server or other people's matches.
• Pretend to be the Pitacor team or someone else.

Public rooms have a profanity filter, mute, kick, vote-kick and report. We may remove nicknames, close rooms and block access (including by IP) for anyone who breaks these rules, without notice.

Streamers and content creators

We only ask that:

• the name Pitacor and the game's link appear on screen, in the description or in the title;
• you don't claim the game is yours, or that your content is official or sponsored by Pitacor when it isn't;
• you don't redistribute the game, art or sounds outside the context of your video or stream (for example, as an asset pack or in another game).

Player content

You're responsible for what you write in the game (nickname, clues and messages). It is only relayed to the players in the room and isn't kept after the room closes. By writing it, you allow the game to show it to the other participants during the match.

Intellectual property

The Pitacor name, code, art, the mascot Pita, original sounds and the board's color palette belong to Pitacor. Third-party assets follow their own licenses (see the credits on About). Apart from the content-creator use described above, copying, modifying or distributing the game is not allowed.

Ads and donations

Pitacor may show ads outside the game area and accept voluntary donations. Donations don't buy any advantage in a match, are not refundable once completed (except where the law says otherwise) and are processed by the payment platforms themselves. We don't sell items with a random outcome.

Liability

To the extent permitted by law, Pitacor is not liable for indirect damages arising from using the game, for other players' conduct or for the service being unavailable. Nothing here limits your rights as a consumer.

Changes and governing law
